A Full House
The Making of a A Full House
Production began on A Full House in December 2020. After nine months of the COVID-19 pandemic, it was clear that acting jobs and opportunities for creative work were not rebounding as quickly as other sectors of the economy. With the hope that all parties could keep their skills sharp over the winter break, Wandering Productions invited a handful of friends and creatives to collaborate on a short project.
After a few days spent brainstorming, the cast and crew were inspired: we would produce a 10-minute Christmas-themed romantic comedy/occult spy thriller. After a few drafts, some of those elements fell to the wayside. The core concept, however, remained — a young couple would find their date interrupted in a comedy-of-errors style intrusion by the male protagonist’s twin brother.
The shoot was completed in three days during the second week of January. Wandering Productions then settled in for roughly nine months of post-production, not only because A Full House contains our most ambitious special effects work to date, but also because post-production work had to be scheduled between work and class for our undergraduate degrees, multiple part time jobs, and commissioned work.
As of today, A Full House has been submitted to six different film festivals across three continents, premiered at the Wandering Productions Showcase in December 2021 and was screened at Scorpiusfest in Holladay, UT.
